The hotel was founded by Rudolf Elcer in 1783 and it was called after its founder. Some time later Mr. Stuchlik became the hotel´s owner. In 1951 the Novaks bought the hotel and they renamed it Novak. In 1958 the hotel became national property and was managed by National enterprice. In 1991 the hotel was got back to the Novaks on the basis of restitution. In 1997 the company AGH spol. s.r.o. (Ltd) bought the hotel and after seven years on 30 April 2004 the hotel was reopened under the name THE AGH HOTEL * * * *.
