The Hotel Lafayette is named in honour of Gilbert de Lafayette, a French nobleman, a statesman and a great fighter for American independence. The General was imprisoned in the Olomouc fortress in the years 1794 - 1797. This remarkable building and the renovated premises have been preserved in authentic Art Nouveau style. The hotel is located in close proximity to the historical centre, in quiet surroundings of a residential district.
